London Build 2026: Free Entry Construction Expo Returns to ExCeL on 25–26 November
What happened
London Build 2026, the UK's largest construction and design expo, returns to ExCeL London on 25–26 November with free entry. The event fills 12 halls with over 650 exhibitors and is expected to attract more than 25,000 visitors across the two days.
The programme includes dedicated zones for skills and workforce development, health and safety, interior fit-out, and sustainability. Registration is open and free — no ticket cost for attendees.
The expo runs alongside elementalLONDON, which covers building performance and fire safety. Both events sit under the same roof at ExCeL.
What this means for tradespeople
London Build skews toward the broader construction supply chain — architects, developers, contractors — but the skills and workforce development zone is directly relevant to trades. If you're an electrician, plumber or gas engineer looking at training, certification or apprenticeship routes, this is one of the few large events where you can meet providers face to face.
For self-employed tradespeople, the networking value is worth the trip. Meeting suppliers, discovering new tools, and making contacts with contractors who subcontract work can open doors that no amount of online marketing will.
It's also a barometer of where the industry is heading. With UK construction output still in contraction territory — the S&P Global PMI sat at 46.1 in September — events like this show where investment is actually flowing.
What to do about it
If you're in or around London on 25–26 November, register for free. Focus on the skills zone and any sessions covering residential retrofit and energy efficiency — that's where the work is heading for trades in 2027.
And if you're networking with potential clients or contractors, make sure your Google Business Profile is up to date with recent reviews. It's the first thing people check after meeting you at an event.
