How to connect Housecall Pro
Connect Housecall Pro via Zapier
- 1. Generate your TapReview API key
In TapReview, open Settings → Integrations & API and tap “Generate API key”. Copy it — it’s shown once.
- 2. Create a Zap with Housecall Pro as the trigger
In Zapier, start a new Zap, choose Housecall Pro, and pick the “New Completed Job” trigger event. Connect your Housecall Pro account when prompted.
- 3. Add TapReview as the action
Add an action step, choose TapReview → “Send Review Request”, and paste your API key to connect. (Until the app is approved, “Webhooks by Zapier” can POST to the TapReview API instead.)
- 4. Map the customer’s name & mobile
Map Housecall Pro’s customer first-name field to “Customer Name” and the mobile number to “Customer Mobile Number”.
- 5. Turn the Zap on
That’s it. Every completed job now fires a WhatsApp review request automatically — no app-switching, no typing.

Can I ask after the invoice is paid instead?
Yes. As well as “New Completed Job”, Housecall Pro can trigger on invoice payment — handy if you’d rather ask for the review once you’ve been paid.

Housecall Pro gates its webhooks and Zapier connection to its higher-tier plans, so check your plan includes integrations.
Does the customer’s contact info come through?
Yes — first name, last name and mobile number are available from Housecall Pro, so the WhatsApp goes to the right customer, personalised.
