How to connect Commusoft
- 1. Generate your TapReview API key
In TapReview, open Settings → Integrations & API and tap “Generate API key”. Copy it — it’s shown once.
- 2. Create a Zap with Commusoft as the trigger
In Zapier, start a new Zap, choose Commusoft, and pick the “Job Complete” trigger event. Connect your Commusoft account when prompted.
- 3. Add TapReview as the action
Add an action step, choose TapReview → “Send Review Request”, and paste your API key to connect. (Until the app is approved, “Webhooks by Zapier” can POST to the TapReview API instead.)
- 4. Map the customer’s name & mobile
Map Commusoft’s customer first-name field to “Customer Name” and the mobile number to “Customer Mobile Number”.
- 5. Turn the Zap on
That’s it. Every completed job now fires a WhatsApp review request automatically — no app-switching, no typing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I use “Job Complete” or “Job Closed”?
Either works. “Job Complete” fires when the work is done; “Job Closed” fires when the job is fully wrapped up and invoiced. Most firms use “Job Complete” so the ask lands while the job is fresh.
Is this suitable for a multi-engineer firm?
Yes — it triggers per job regardless of which engineer completed it, so every customer gets asked without anyone remembering to.
Does the customer get a choice to opt out?
Always. Every TapReview message includes a “Reply STOP to opt out” line and we honour opt-outs automatically, in line with UK PECR.
